It is reported from the Prophet ﷺ that whenever he prevailed over a people, he would remain at their open ground for three nights.Muaz and Abdul-Ala followed him in this narration. Saeed narrated to us from Qatada, from Anas, from Abu Talha, from the Prophet ﷺ.

عن النبي ﷺ أنه كان إذا ظهر على قوم أقام بالعرصة ثلاث ليال تابعه معاذ وعبد الأعلى حدثنا سعيد عن قتادة عن أنس عن أبي طلحة عن النبي ﷺ
