Abu Ishaq reported,

A man asked Bara , "Abu Ammara, did you all turn and flee on the day of Hunayn?"Bara replied, while I was listening, "As for the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, he did not turn away that day. Abu Sufyan bin Harith was holding the reins of his mule, and when the polytheists pressed in upon him, he dismounted and began to say, 'I am the Prophet, this is no lie. I am the son of Abdul-Muttalib.' No one was seen among the people that day braver than him."

حدثنا عبيد الله عن إسرائيل

عن أبي إسحاق قال

سأل رجل البراء رضي الله عنه فقال يا أبا عمارة أوليتم يوم حنين قال البراء وأنا أسمع أما رسول الله ﷺ لم يول يومئذ كان أبو سفيان بن الحارث آخذا بعنان بغلته فلما غشيه المشركون نزل فجعل يقول أنا النبي لا كذب أنا ابن عبد المطلب قال فما رئي من الناس يومئذ أشد منه
