Thalaba bin Abu Malik reported,

Umar bin Khattab was distributing woolen cloaks among the women of Medina, and one fine cloak remained. Someone present said to him, "Commander of the Faithful, give this one to the daughter of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ who is with you," meaning Umm Kulthum bint Ali.Umar replied, "Umm Salit has more right to it."Umm Salit was one of the women of the Ansar who had pledged allegiance to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.Umar said, "She used to carry water skins for us on the day of Uhud."Abu Abdullah said, "Tazfir means she would sew them."
