The Messenger of Allah ﷺ allotted two shares for the horse and one share for its rider.Malik said, "Shares are given for both Arabian horses and non-Arabian horses, since they are all included under His statement, 'And horses, mules, and donkeys for you to ride' [Nahl 16:8]. However, no rider receives a share for more than one horse."
حدثنا عبيد بن إسماعيل عن أبي أسامة عن عبيد الله عن نافع
أن رسول الله ﷺ جعل للفرس سهمين ولصاحبه سهما وقال مالك يسهم للخيل والبراذين منها لقوله {والخيل والبغال والحمير لتركبوها} ولا يسهم لأكثر من فرس
