He said to him and to Ali bin Abdullah, "Go to Abu Saeed and listen to his hadith."So we went to him while he and his brother were in a garden of theirs watering it. When he saw us, he came over, wrapped his garment around his knees, and sat down. He said, "We were carrying the bricks of the mosque, one brick at a time, while Ammar was carrying two bricks at a time. The Prophet ﷺ passed by him, wiped the dust off his head, and said, 'Alas for Ammar! A rebellious group will kill him. Ammar will be calling them to Allah, and they will be calling him to the Fire.'"
حدثنا إبراهيم بن موسى أخبرنا عبد الوهاب حدثنا خالد عن عكرمة أن
له ولعلي بن عبد الله ائتيا أبا سعيد فاسمعا من حديثه فأتيناه وهو وأخوه في حائط لهما يسقيانه فلما رآنا جاء فاحتبى وجلس فقال كنا ننقل لبن المسجد لبنة لبنة وكان عمار ينقل لبنتين لبنتين فمر به النبي ﷺ ومسح عن رأسه الغبار وقال ويح عمار تقتله الفئة الباغية عمار يدعوهم إلى الله ويدعونه إلى النار
