The Prophet ﷺ said, "The best of you are my generation, then those who follow them, then those who follow them."Imran said, "I do not recall whether the Prophet ﷺ mentioned two generations after his own or three."The Prophet ﷺ said, "After you will come a people who betray and cannot be trusted, who give testimony without being asked to bear witness, who make vows but do not fulfill them, and among whom obesity will appear."
حدثنا آدم حدثنا شعبة حدثنا أبو جمرة قال سمعت زهدم بن مضرب قال سمعت
قال النبي ﷺ خيركم قرني ثم الذين يلونهم ثم الذين يلونهم قال عمران لا أدري أذكر النبي ﷺ بعد قرنين أو ثلاثة قال النبي ﷺ إن بعدكم قوما يخونون ولا يؤتمنون ويشهدون ولا يستشهدون وينذرون ولا يفون ويظهر فيهم السمن
