Uqba married a daughter of Abu Ihab bin Aziz. A woman came to him and said, "I have nursed both Uqba and the woman he has married."Uqba said to her, "I do not know that you nursed me, and you never informed me of this."He then sent word to the family of Abu Ihab to ask them, and they said, "We do not know that she nursed our daughter."So he rode to the Prophet ﷺ in Medina and asked him about it. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "How can you remain together when it has already been said?"So he separated from her, and she married another husband.
حدثنا حبان أخبرنا عبد الله أخبرنا عمر بن سعيد بن أبي حسين قال أخبرني عبد الله بن أبي مليكة
أنه تزوج ابنة لأبي إهاب بن عزيز فأتته امرأة فقالت قد أرضعت عقبة والتي تزوج فقال لها عقبة ما أعلم أنك أرضعتني ولا أخبرتني فأرسل إلى آل أبي إهاب يسألهم فقالوا ما علمنا أرضعت صاحبتنا فركب إلى النبي ﷺ بالمدينة فسأله فقال رسول الله ﷺ كيف وقد قيل ففارقها ونكحت زوجا غيره
