My mother came to visit me during the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and she was a polytheist. So I sought the Messenger of Allah's guidance, saying, "She has come hoping for my kindness. Shall I maintain ties with my mother?"He replied, "Yes, maintain ties with your mother."
