The Prophet ﷺ called the Ansar in order to allot them land in Bahrain. They said, "Messenger of Allah, if you do so, then write the same for our brothers from Quraysh."The Prophet ﷺ did not have that available to give, so he said, "You will see after me others being preferred over you, so be patient until you meet me."
وقال الليث عن يحيى بن سعيد،
دعا النبي ﷺ الأنصار ليقطع لهم بالبحرين، فقالوا يا رسول الله إن فعلت فاكتب لإخواننا من قريش بمثلها، فلم يكن ذلك عند النبي ﷺ فقال إنكم سترون بعدي أثرة فاصبروا حتى تلقوني.
