His father informed him that he saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ cutting a piece from the shoulder of a sheep when he was called to prayer. He put down the knife, prayed, and did not perform ablution.
حدثنا يحيى بن بكير قال حدثنا الليث عن عقيل عن ابن شهاب قال أخبرني
أن أباه أخبره أنه رأى رسول الله ﷺ يحتز من كتف شاة فدعي إلى الصلاة فألقى السكين فصلى ولم يتوضأ
