He had taken part in twelve military expeditions with the Prophet ﷺ. He said, "I heard four things from the Prophet ﷺ that delighted me. He said, 'A woman must not travel a distance of two days unless accompanied by her husband or a Muharram relative. There is no fasting on two days, the day of Fitr and the day of Adha. There is no prayer after the dawn prayer until the sun rises, nor after the afternoon prayer until it sets. Journeys should not be undertaken except to three mosques, the Sacred Mosque, the Aqsa Mosque, and this mosque of mine.'"
