He asked Anas bin Malik, while the two of them were traveling from Mina to Arafah, "How did you used to do on this day with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ?"Anas replied, "Some of us would call out the talbiyah and no one objected, and some of us would call out the takbir and no one objected."
حدثنا عبد الله بن يوسف أخبرنا مالك
أنه سأل أنس بن مالك وهما غاديان من منى إلى عرفة كيف كنتم تصنعون في هذا اليوم مع رسول الله ﷺ فقال كان يهل منا المهل فلا ينكر عليه ويكبر منا المكبر فلا ينكر عليه
