Jabir bin Abdullah reported,

The Prophet ﷺ and his companions entered the state of ihram for hajj, and none of them had brought sacrificial animals except the Prophet ﷺ and Talha. Ali arrived from Yemen with sacrificial animals and said, "I have entered ihram for the same as the Prophet ﷺ entered ihram for."The Prophet ﷺ then ordered his companions to convert their intention into umrah, perform the circumambulation, shorten their hair, and exit the state of ihram, except for those who had brought sacrificial animals.They said, "Shall we set off for Mina with our manhood dripping?"This reached the Prophet ﷺ and he said, "Had I known earlier what I know now, I would not have brought the sacrificial animals, and were it not that I have the sacrificial animals with me, I would have exited ihram."Ayesha menstruated, so she performed all the rites of hajj except that she did not circumambulate the House. Once she was purified, she circumambulated the House.She said, "Messenger of Allah, you all are returning with both a hajj and an umrah, while I am returning with only a hajj?"So he ordered Abdul-Rahman bin Abu Bakr to go out with her to Tanim, and she performed umrah after the hajj.

حدثنا محمد بن المثنى حدثنا عبد الوهاب قال ح وقال لي خليفة حدثنا عبد الوهاب حدثنا حبيب المعلم عن عطاء

عن جابر بن عبد الله رضي الله عنهما قال

أهل النبي ﷺ هو وأصحابه بالحج وليس مع أحد منهم هدي غير النبي ﷺ وطلحة وقدم علي من اليمن ومعه هدي فقال أهللت بما أهل به النبي ﷺ فأمر النبي ﷺ أصحابه أن يجعلوها عمرة ويطوفوا ثم يقصروا ويحلوا إلا من كان معه الهدي فقالوا ننطلق إلى منى وذكر أحدنا يقطر فبلغ النبي ﷺ فقال لو استقبلت من أمري ما استدبرت ما أهديت ولولا أن معي الهدي لأحللت وحاضت عائشة رضي الله عنها فنسكت المناسك كلها غير أنها لم تطف بالبيت فلما طهرت طافت بالبيت قالت يا رسول الله تنطلقون بحجة وعمرة وأنطلق بحج فأمر عبد الرحمن بن أبي بكر أن يخرج معها إلى التنعيم فاعتمرت بعد الحج
