The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said on the day of the conquest of Mecca, "This city has been made sacred by Allah. Its thorny shrubs are not to be cut, its game is not to be disturbed, and its lost property is not to be picked up except by one who will announce it publicly."

قال رسول الله ﷺ يوم فتح مكة إن هذا البلد حرمه الله لا يعضد شوكه ولا ينفر صيده ولا يلتقط لقطته إلا من عرفها
