The Prophet ﷺ stayed nineteen days shortening his prayers, so when we travel nineteen days we shorten, and if we exceed that we complete the prayer in full.
حدثنا موسى بن إسماعيل قال حدثنا أبو عوانة عن عاصم وحصين عن عكرمة
أقام النبي ﷺ تسعة عشر يقصر فنحن إذا سافرنا تسعة عشر قصرنا وإن زدنا أتممنا
