Abdullah bin Abbas reported,

The sun was eclipsed during the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, so the Messenger of Allah ﷺ led the prayer. He stood for a long time, roughly the length of reciting Surah al-Baqarah, then made a long bowing, then rose and stood for a long time, though shorter than the first standing. Then he bowed for a long time, though shorter than the first bowing, then prostrated. Then he stood for a long time, though shorter than the first standing, then bowed for a long time, though shorter than the first bowing. Then he rose and stood for a long time, though shorter than the first standing, then bowed for a long time, though shorter than the first bowing, then prostrated. Then he finished, and the sun had already cleared. He ﷺ said, "The sun and the moon are two of the signs of Allah. They do not eclipse for the death or the life of anyone. So when you see that, remember Allah."They said, "Messenger of Allah, we saw you reach out for something while standing in your place, then we saw you draw back."He ﷺ said, "I saw Paradise, and I reached out for a cluster of grapes. Had I taken it, you would have eaten from it as long as the world remains. And I was shown the Hellfire, and I have never seen a sight more dreadful than what I saw today. I saw that most of its inhabitants were women."They asked, "Why is that, Messenger of Allah?"He said, "Because of their ingratitude."It was said, "Are they ungrateful to Allah?"He said, "They are ungrateful to their husbands and ungrateful for kindness shown them. If you were to be good to one of them all your life, then she saw something from you she disliked, she would say, 'I have never seen any good from you.'"
