The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said about Abu Bakr and Umar, "These two are the masters of the mature inhabitants of Paradise."
قال رسول الله ﷺ لأبي بكر وعمر: هذان سيدان كهول أهل الجنة.
Abdullah bin Ahmad related it in the Additions to al-Fadail (200), from Muhammad bin Bashshar Bundar, who said, Salm bin Qutayba narrated to us, who said, Yunus bin Abu Ishaq narrated to us, from Shaybi, from Abu Hurairah, and he mentioned it. Its isnad is hasan because of Salm bin Qutayba, who is al-Bahili, and he is hasan al-hadith. Abu Dawud and Abu Zura said, "Trustworthy." Ibn Main said, "There is no harm in him." Abu Hatim said, "There is no harm in him, though he makes many errors, his hadith is written down."A note. In the printed edition of Fadail al-Sahabah by Imam Ahmad, it appears as "Salim bin Qutayba," but the correct form is "Salm bin Qutayba."
