The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Abu Bakr and Umar are the two masters of the mature men of Paradise among the first and the last, except for the prophets and messengers."
قال رسول الله ﷺ: أبو بكر وعمر سيدا كهول أهل الجنة من الأولين والآخرين إلا النبيين والمرسلين.
Ibn Majah (100) narrated it, from Abu Shuayb Salih bin Haytham Wasiti, who said, Abdul-Qudus bin Bakr bin Khunays told us, who said, Malik bin Mughul told us, from Awn bin Abu Juhayfa, from his father, who related it.Its chain is hasan because of Ibn Majah's teacher Salih bin Haytham, for he is hasan al-hadith. Likewise Abdul-Qudus bin Bakr bin Khunays, for Abu Hatim said of him, "There is no harm in him." Hafiz reported in Tahdhib (6/369), from Mahmud bin Ghaylan, from Ahmad, Ibn Main, and Abu Khaythama, that they struck out his hadith. However, Abdul-Qudus bin Bakr bin Khunays was corroborated, his brother Junays bin Bakr bin Khunays corroborated him, from Malik bin Mughul, from Awn bin Abu Juhayfa, from his father, relating it.Ibn Hibban (6904) narrated it, from Muhammad bin Ishaq bin Ibrahim, the freedman of Thaqif, who said, Muhammad bin Aqeel bin Khuwaylid told us, who said, Khunays told us, with it.This Khunays was mentioned by Ibn Hibban among the trustworthy narrators, except that Khatib reported in his History (8/432), from Salih bin Muhammad Jazara, that he said of him, "A daif shaykh." However, there is no harm in him for corroborating purposes, and by this the hadith is raised, through its two chains, to the level of hasan.
