Urwa reported,

Zubayr had three sword wounds on his body, one of them on his shoulder. Urwa said, "I used to put my fingers into it." He said, "He received two of them on the day of Badr, and one on the day of Yarmuk."Urwa said, Abdul-Malik bin Marwan said to me when Abdullah bin Zubayr was killed, "Urwa, do you recognize the sword of Zubayr?"I said, "Yes."He asked, "What marks does it bear?"I replied, "It has a notch in it that was made on the day of Badr."He said, "You have spoken the truth. They bear notches from clashing with the enemy ranks."Then he returned it to Urwa.Hisham said, "We had it appraised among ourselves at three thousand, and one of us took it. I wish that I had been the one to take it."
