Talha reported,
The companions of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to a simple Arabi, "Ask him about those who have fulfilled their vow, who are they?" They themselves did not dare to ask him such questions, out of reverence and awe for him.So the Arabi asked him, but he turned away. Then he asked again, and he turned away. Then he asked a third time, and he turned away once more.Then I appeared at the door of the mosque, wearing green garments. When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saw me, he said, "Where is the one who was asking about those who have fulfilled their vow?"The Arabi said, "It is I, Messenger of Allah."He said, "This man is among those who have fulfilled their vow."

أن أصحاب رسول الله ﷺ قالوا لأعرابي جاهل: سله عمن قضى نحبه من هو؟ وكانوا لا يجترؤون على مسألته، يوقرونه ويهابونه، فسأله الأعرابي فأعرض عنه، ثم سأله فأعرض عنه، ثم سأله فأعرض عنه، ثم إني اطلعت من باب المسجد، وعلي ثياب خضر، فلما رآني رسول الله ﷺ قال: أين السائل عمن قضى نحبه. قال الأعرابي أنا يا رسول الله قال: هذا ممن قضى نحبه
Tirmidhi (3203, 3742), Bazzar (943), and Abu Yaala (663) all narrated it through Yunus bin Bukayr, who said, "Talha bin Yahya narrated to us, from Musa and Isa, the two sons of Talha, from their father Talha," and he related it. Tirmidhi said, "This is a hasan gharib hadith. We do not know it except from the hadith of Abu Kurayb, from Yunus bin Bukayr. More than one of the great scholars of hadith have narrated this hadith from Abu Kurayb. I heard Muhammad bin Ismail relate this from Abu Kurayb, and he placed it in his book al-Fawaid."It is as he said, for Talha bin Yahya is disputed, though his hadith is hasan, and he has been corroborated. Tabarani narrated it in al-Kabir (1/76) from Yahya bin Uthman bin Salih, who said, "Sulayman bin Ayub narrated to us, my father narrated to me, from my grandfather, from Musa bin Talha, from his father," who said, "When the Prophet ﷺ returned from Uhud, he ascended the pulpit, praised Allah 
and extolled Him, then recited this verse, "Men who fulfilled what they had pledged to Allah" the whole verse. A man stood up to him and said, 'O Messenger of Allah, who are these?' Then I came forward wearing two green garments, and he said, 'O questioner, this is one of them.'"Sulayman bin Ayub is Ibn Sulayman bin Isa bin Musa al-Talhi. Ibn Adi said of him, "Most of his hadiths are not corroborated," while Yaqub bin Shayba deemed him trustworthy, and Ibn Hibban mentioned him among the trustworthy narrators. His father and his grandfather are both unknown, with no reliable authentication found for either, but there is no harm in using them for corroboration.It is also narrated from Jabir bin Abdullah, who said, "I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, 'Whoever would like to look at a martyr walking on the face of the earth, let him look at Talha bin Ubaydullah.'" Tirmidhi (3739) and Ibn Majah (125) both narrated it through Salt bin Dinar al-Azdi, from Abu Nadra (that is, Mundhir bin Malik), from Jabir, and he related it. Tirmidhi said, "This is a gharib hadith. We do not know it except from the hadith of Salt. Some scholars have spoken against Salt bin Dinar and declared him daif, and they have also spoken against Salih bin Musa."I say, it is as he said, for Salt bin Dinar is discarded as a narrator. Ibn Hibban said, "He was among those who reviled the companions of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, hated Ali bin Abu Talib, and spoke ill of him and his household, along with the abundance of objectionable material in his narrations."
