Ali said, "Judge as you used to judge, for I detest disagreement, until the people are united or I die as my companions died."Ibn Sirin held the view that most of what is narrated from Ali is fabricated.
اقضوا كما كنتم تقضون، فإني أكره الاختلاف، حتى يكون للناس جماعة أو أموت كما مات أصحابي. فكان ابن سيرين يرى أن عامة ما يروى عن علي الكذب.
Bukhari narrated it in Fadail al-Sahabah (3707) from Ali bin Jaad, from Shubah, from Ayub, from Ibn Sirin, from Ubayda, from Ali, who said, and then he mentioned it.
