A group of people came to Ali at ar-Rahbah and said, "Peace be upon you, our master."He replied, "How can I be your master when you are an Arab people?"They said, "We heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say on the day of Ghadir Khumm, 'Whoever I am his master, this one is his master.'"Rabah said, When they left, I followed them and asked, "Who are these men?"They said, "A group of the Ansar, among them Abu Ayub al-Ansari."
Ahmad (23563, 23564) and Ibn Abu Shayba (32736) narrated it, both through different routes, from Hanash bin Harith bin Laqit Nakhai Ashjai, from Rabah bin Harith, who said, and then he mentioned it.Its chain is hasan because of Hanash bin Harith, for his hadith is hasan.
