The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "I saw in a dream that I was given a large bowl filled with milk. I drank from it until I was completely satisfied, so much so that I could see it flowing through my veins between my skin and my flesh. Then I had some left over, which I gave to Umar bin Khattab."The companions interpreted the dream, saying, "Prophet of Allah, this is knowledge that Allah has given you. He filled you with it, and what remained you gave to Umar bin Khattab."He said, "You are correct."
أن رسول الله ﷺ قال: رأيت في النوم أني أعطيت عسا مملوءا لبنا، فشربت حتى تملأت حتى رأيته يجري في عروقي بين الجلد واللحم، ففضلت فضلة أعطيتها عمر بن الخطاب، فأولوها، قالوا: يا نبي الله، هذا علم أعطاكه الله فملأك منه، ففضلت فضلة فأعطيتها عمر بن الخطاب، فقال: أصبتم.

Abdullah bin Ahmad reported it in his additions to Fadail al-Sahabah (319) from Muhammad bin Abu Bakr bin Ali Muqaddami, and Tabarani reported it in Al-Kabir (12/293), and Hakim graded it sahih (3/85-86) through Amr bin Awn Wasiti, both of them (Muhammad Muqaddami and Amr Wasiti) transmitting from Mutamir bin Sulayman, who said, I heard Ubaydullah bin Umar narrating from Abu Bakr bin Salim (that is, bin Abdullah bin Umar), from his father, from Ibn Umar, and he related it. Its chain is sahih. Haythami said in Al-Majma (9/69), "Tabarani reported it, and its narrators are the narrators of the sahih, and it appears in the sahih collections but with a different wording."Ibn Hibban also reported it (6854) through Abdullah bin Sabbah Attar, who said, Mutamir bin Sulayman narrated to us, from Ubaydullah bin Umar, from Salim bin Abdullah, from his father, who said, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "I saw myself given a bowl full of milk, and I drank from it until I was satisfied, and I saw it flowing through my veins between the skin and the flesh, and some remained over, so I gave it to Abu Bakr." They said, "O Messenger of Allah, this is knowledge that Allah has given you, and when you were satisfied with it and some remained over, you gave it to Abu Bakr." He ﷺ said, "You have judged rightly."So Abdullah bin Sabbah diverged in both the chain and the wording. He dropped "Abu Bakr bin Salim" from the chain between Ubaydullah bin Umar and Salim bin Abdullah bin Umar. And in the wording, he mentioned that the Prophet ﷺ gave the remaining milk to "Abu Bakr," whereas the correct version is that he gave it to "Umar," as found in the Sahihayn.
