When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ grew severely ill, he was reminded about the prayer. He said, "Tell Abu Bakr to lead the people in prayer."Ayesha said, "Abu Bakr is a tender-hearted man. When he recites, weeping overcomes him."He said, "Tell him to lead the prayer."She pressed him again, and he said, "Tell him to lead the prayer. You are like the women around Yusuf."
Bukhari narrated it in the Book of Adhan (682) from Yahya bin Sulayman, who said, Ibn Wahb told us, Yunus told me, from Ibn Shihab, from Hamza bin Abdullah, who informed him, from his father, who said, then he mentioned it.
