The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "I saw myself in the Hijr while Quraysh were questioning me about my night journey. They asked me about things in Bayt al-Maqdis that I had not committed to memory, so I felt a distress unlike any I had ever felt before."He said, "Then Allah raised it up before me so that I could look at it directly, and they did not ask me about anything except that I informed them of it..." and the rest of the hadith.
قال رسول الله ﷺ: لقد رأيتني في الحجر، وقريش تسألني عن مسراي، فسألتني عن أشياء من بيت المقدس لم أثبتها، فكربت كربة ما كربت مثله قط، قال: فرفعه الله لي أنظر إليه، ما يسألوني عن شيء إلا أنبأتهم به… الحديث.
Muslim narrated it in the Book of Faith (278:172), from Zuhayr bin Harb, who said, Hujayn bin Muthanna narrated to us, who said, Abdul-Aziz, that is Ibn Abu Salama, narrated to us, from Abdullah bin Fadl, from Abu Salama bin Abdul-Rahman, from Abu Hurairah, who related it.
