The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When Quraysh refused to believe me, I stood in the Hijr, and Allah unveiled Jerusalem before me. I began to describe its features to them while I was looking directly at it."
أن رسول الله ﷺ قال: لما كذبتني قريش، قمت في الحجر، فجلا الله لي بيت المقدس، فطفقت أخبرهم عن آياته، وأنا أنظر إليه.
Bukhari narrated it in the Merits of the Ansar (3886) and Muslim in the Book of Faith (276:170), both of them through the route of Layth, from Aqeel, from Ibn Shihab Zuhri, from Abu Salama bin Abdul-Rahman, from Jabir bin Abdullah, who mentioned it.
