The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was returning from a journey, and as he drew near Medina, a violent wind arose so fierce that it nearly buried any rider caught in it. He claimed that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "This wind has been sent for the death of a hypocrite."When he reached Medina, it turned out that a prominent hypocrite had indeed died.
أن رسول الله ﷺ قدم من سفر، فلما كان قرب المدينة هاجت ريح شديدة تكاد أن تدفن الراكب، فزعم أن رسول الله ﷺ قال: بعثت هذه الريح لموت منافق فلما قدم المدينة، فإذا منافق عظيم من المنافقين قد مات.
