The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "I have been given five things that no one before me was given. I have been sent to both the red and the black peoples. The earth has been made for me a place of purification and a place of prayer. The spoils of war have been made lawful for me, though they were not lawful for anyone before me. I have been aided with terror, so the enemy is struck with fear of me from a month's journey away. And I was told, 'Ask, and you shall be given,' but I have reserved my supplication as intercession for my community, and it will reach, Allah willing, every one of you who has not associated anything with Allah."
قال رسول الله ﷺ: أعطيت خمسا لم يعطهن أحد قبلي: بعثت إلى الأحمر والأسود، وجعلت لي الأرض طهورا ومسجدا، وأحلت لي الغنائم ولم تحل لأحد قبلي، ونصرت بالرعب، فيرعب العدو، وهي مني مسيرة شهر، وقيل لي: سل تعطه، واختبأت دعوتي شفاعة لأمتي، فهي نائلة منكم- إن شاء الله-من لم يشرك بالله شيئا.
Abu Dawud (489) and Ahmad (21299, 21314) narrated it, and Ibn Hibban (6462) and Hakim (2/424) graded it sahih, through various routes from Sulayman Amash, from Mujahid, from Ubayd bin Umayr Laythi, from Abu Dharr, and he related it. Its isnad is sahih. Abu Dawud confined himself to his saying, "The earth has been made for me a masjid and a means of purification." Hakim said, This is a hadith that is sahih according to the criteria of the two Shaykhs, though they did not include it in this wording, they only included scattered phrases from the hadith. Haythami said in Majma (8/259), Ahmad narrated it and its men are the men of the Sahih. There has been extensive disagreement over its isnad, and Daraqutni related it in Ilal (6/256–258), saying, What is preserved is the view of those who said, from Mujahid, from Ubayd bin Umayr, from Abu Dharr.
