Ibn Abu Asim narrated it in Sunnah (886) from Muhammad bin Mahdi, who said, Abu Amir Abdul-Malik bin Amr told us, from Muhammad bin Muslim, from Amr bin Dinar, from Ibn Zubayr, and he related it.Its isnad is hasan due to the discussion concerning Muhammad bin Muslim, who is Taifi. Imam Ahmad said of him, "How weak his hadith is," while Ibn Main, Abu Dawud, and Ajli deemed him reliable, and Ibn Hibban mentioned him in Thiqat. So his hadith is hasan, and this is why Hafiz said of him in Taqrib, "Truthful, but makes mistakes." It appears he did not err in this instance, for it has supporting narrations that strengthen it.
