Reported by Abu Dawud (4025), Tirmidhi (1764) and in Shamail (54), and Nasai in Kubra (9668), all of them through the route of Fadl bin Musa. It was also reported by Abd bin Humayd (1540) and Bayhaqi (2/239), both through the route of Zayd bin Hubab Ukayli. It was also reported by Abu Yaala (7014) from Abu Khaythama Zuhayr bin Harb. The three of them (Fadl, Zayd, and Abu Khaythama) narrated from Abdul-Mumin bin Khalid Hanafi, from Abdullah bin Burayda, from Umm Salama, who said, and then she mentioned it.Its isnad is hasan because of Abdul-Mumin bin Khalid, for he is hasan al-hadith. Tirmidhi said, This is a hasan gharib hadith, we only know it from the hadith of Abdul-Mumin bin Khalid, he transmitted it alone, and he is from Marw. Some of them reported this hadith from Abu Tumayla, from Abdul-Mumin bin Khalid, from Abdullah bin Burayda, from his mother, from Umm Salama.5.1 That is, with the addition of "his mother." Reported by Abu Dawud (4026), Tirmidhi (1763), Ibn Majah (3575), and Ahmad (26695), and Hakim graded it sahih (4/192), all of them through the route of Abu Tumayla, Yahya bin Wadih, who said, Abdul-Mumin bin Khalid informed me, Abdullah bin Burayda narrated to us, from his mother, from Umm Salama, who said, and then she mentioned it.Tirmidhi related from Bukhari that he said, The hadith of Abdullah bin Burayda, from his mother, from Umm Salama, is more sahih, and it is only Abu Tumayla who mentions "from his mother" in it.I say, three narrators contradicted him, namely Fadl bin Musa, Zayd bin Hubab, and Abu Khaythama, as mentioned above in the sourcing, so their hadith should not be faulted on account of the hadith of Abu Tumayla. It appears that both isnads are preserved.A note of caution. In the printed edition of Abu Dawud, "from his father" appears instead of "from his mother," which is a corruption, and the correct reading is "from his mother," as it appears in Tuhfat Ashraf. Likewise, in the printed edition of Hakim it appears as "from his father, from his mother," and the correct reading is with "from his father" removed.On this subject there is also a report from Abdullah bin Umar, who said, The Messenger of Allah ﷺ died while a woolen blanket was still being woven for him. Reported by Bayhaqi in Shuab (5754) through the route of Ibn Wahb, who said, Ibn Lahia informed me, from Yazid bin Abu Habib, from Ubaydullah bin Umar, from Abdullah bin Umar, who said, and then he mentioned it.In it is Ubaydullah bin Umar bin Hafs bin Asim, who did not meet Abdullah bin Umar, so there is a break in the chain.
