The Prophet ﷺ used to speak in a manner so measured that if someone wished to count his words, he could have done so.
أن النبي ﷺ كان يحدث حديثا لو عده العاد لأحصاه.
Bukhari narrated it in the chapters on virtues (3567) and Muslim in the chapter on asceticism and delicate matters (71:2493), both through Urwa from Ayesha, who said, so she mentioned it. Muslim added, saying, Urwa said, Abu Hurairah used to narrate and say, "Listen, mistress of the chamber, listen, mistress of the chamber," while Ayesha was praying. When she finished her prayer, she said, "Do you not hear what this man just said? The Prophet ﷺ would only speak in a manner..." and so on with the rest of the hadith.
