She was asked what the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to do in his home. She replied, "He was just a human being like any other. He would clean his garment of lice, milk his sheep, and tend to his own needs."
أنها سئلت ما كان عمل رسول الله ﷺ في بيته؟ قالت: ما كان إلا بشرا من البشر، كان يفلي ثوبه، ويحلب شاته، ويخدم نفسه.
Bukhari narrated it in Adab al-Mufrad (541), Tirmidhi in Shamail (335), Abu Yaala (4873), and Ibn Hibban (5675) - and the wording given is his - all of them through the route of Muawiya bin Salih, from Yahya bin Saeed Ansari, from Amrah, from Ayesha, who said, and then she mentioned it. Its isnad is hasan because of Muawiya bin Salih, for his hadith are hasan.Ahmad narrated it (26194) through the route of Yahya bin Saeed, from Qasim, from Ayesha, with the same wording. Yahya bin Saeed Ansari has two teachers in this regard, Amrah and Qasim.
