A man asked Ayesha, "Did the Messenger of Allah ﷺ do any work in his house?"She replied, "Yes. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to mend his sandals, sew his garment, and work in his house just as any of you works in his house."
سأل رجل عائشة: هل كان رسول الله ﷺ يعمل في بيته شيئا؟ قالت: نعم، كان رسول الله ﷺ يخصف نعله، ويخيط ثوبه، ويعمل في بيته كما يعمل أحدكم في بيته.
Imam Ahmad (25341) narrated it from Abdul-Razzaq, and it is in his Musannaf (20492), "Mamar informed us, from Zuhri, from Urwa," and he mentioned it.Ahmad (24749), Bukhari in Adab al-Mufrad (540), and Abu Shaykh in Akhlaq an-Nabi ﷺ (120) all narrated it through various routes from Sufyan, from Hisham bin Urwa, from his father, from Ayesha, similarly, and its chain of transmission is sahih.
