دخل على رسول الله ﷺ فشرب من قربة معلقة قائما، فقمت إلى فيها فقطعته.
Tirmidhi related it in his Sunan (1892) and in Shamail (214), and Ahmad (27448), and Ibn Hibban graded it sahih (5318), all of them through routes from Sufyan bin Uyayna, from Yazid bin Yazid bin Jabir, from Abdul-Rahman bin Abu Amra, from his grandmother Kabsha, who said what has already been mentioned. Ibn Majah related it (3423) through the route of Muhammad bin Sabbah Jarjarai, and Tabarani in Al-Kabir (25/15) through the route of Muhammad bin Isa Tabba, both of them from Sufyan bin Uyayna, from Yazid bin Yazid bin Jabir, and he added in it, "seeking the blessing of the place touched by the mouth of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ," and its isnad is sahih. Tirmidhi said, hasan sahih gharib.Nawawi said in his commentary on Muslim, "Her cutting off the mouth of the waterskin was done for two reasons. The first is that she was preserving the spot touched by the mouth of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ from being used indiscriminately and touched by everyone. The second is that she was keeping it in order to seek blessing and healing through it. And Allah knows best."The female companion Kabsha Ansariyyah was the sister of Hassan bin Thabit .
