Anas bin Malik reported,

Umm Sulaym sent me with a basket of fresh dates to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, but I did not find him. He had gone out nearby to one of his freed slaves who had invited him and prepared a meal for him. I came to him while he was eating, and he called me to eat with him.The man had prepared tharid with meat and gourd, and the Prophet ﷺ was fond of gourd. So I began to gather the pieces of gourd and bring them close to him. When we had finished eating, he returned to his home, and I placed the basket before him. He began to eat and distribute the dates until the last of them was gone.

عن أنس قال

بعثت معي أم سليم بمكتل فيه رطب إلى رسول الله ﷺ، فلم أجده وخرج قريبا إلى مولى له دعاه فصنع له طعاما، فأتيته وهو يأكل، قال: فدعاني لأكل معه، قال: وصنع ثريدة بلحم وقرع، قال: فإذا هو يعجبه القرع، قال: فجعلت أجمعه فأدنيه منه، فلما طعمنا منه رجع إلى منزله، ووضعت المكتل بين يديه، فجعل يأكل ويقسم حتى فرغ من آخره.
