The Messenger of Allah ﷺ passed away when we had only the two black things in abundance, dates and water.
توفي رسول الله ﷺ وقد شبعنا من الأسودين: التمر والماء.
Bukhari related it in the Book of Foods (5442), and Muslim in Asceticism and Softening of the Hearts (31:2975), through the route of Sufyan, from Mansur bin Safiya, from his mother, from Ayesha, and he narrated it.
