I saw us on the day of Badr taking shelter behind the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and he was the closest of us to the enemy. He was among the fiercest of people in battle that day.
لقد رأيتنا يوم بدر، ونحن نلوذ برسول الله ﷺ، وهو أقربنا إلى العدو، وكان من أشد الناس يومئذ بأسا.
