The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was neither vulgar nor coarse, nor was he one to shout in the marketplaces. He did not repay evil with evil, but rather pardoned and forgave.
لم يكن رسول الله ﷺ فاحشا ولا متفحشا، ولا صخابا فى الأسواق، ولا يجزئ بالسيئة السيئة، ولكن يعفو ويصفح.
Tirmidhi related it in his Sunan (2016) and in Shamail (347), as did Ahmad (25417) and Ibn Hibban (6443), all of them through chains going back to Abu Ishaq (that is, Subayi) from Abu Abdullah Jadali (whose name was Abd bin Abd), from Ayesha, who said, and she mentioned it. Its chain is sahih. Tirmidhi said, hasan sahih.Abd bin Abd, also said to be Abdul-Rahman bin Abd, is Abu Abdullah Jadali, who is trustworthy. In some versions of the chain, the following was added at the beginning of the hadith, "He was the best of people in character."
