The Prophet ﷺ was not one to insult, use foul language, or curse. When he wished to reproach one of us, he would simply say, "What is the matter with him? May his forehead be covered in dust."
لم يكن النبي ﷺ سبابا ولا فحاشا ولا لعانا، كان يقول لأحدنا عند المعتبة: ماله؟ ترب جبينه.
Bukhari narrated it in al-Adab (6031, 6046), from Asbagh, who said, Ibn Wahb informed me, and from Muhammad bin Sinan, both of them (Ibn Wahb and Ibn Sinan) said, Fulayh bin Sulayman Abu Yahya narrated to us, from Hilal bin Ali bin Usama, from Anas bin Malik, who said, and then he mentioned it.
