The Prophet ﷺ was neither tall nor short. He had thick palms and feet, a large head, large joints, and a long line of fine hair running down his chest to his navel. When he walked, he leaned forward as though descending a slope. I never saw anyone like him before or after.
Tirmidhi narrated it in Sunan Tirmidhi (3637) and in Shamail (5), and Ahmad (1053, 746, 1122), and Hakim graded it sahih (2/606), all of them through routes from Nafi bin Jubayr bin Mutim, from Ali, who said, and then he mentioned it. Its chain of transmission is sahih. Tirmidhi said, "This is a hasan sahih hadith."His saying "the musrubah" refers to the fine hair that looks like a thin line running from the chest to the navel.
