The Prophet ﷺ said, "Through the intercession of one man from my nation, more people will be brought out of the Fire than the tribes of Rabia and Mudar combined."

Reported by Tabarani in al-Kabir (8/330) from Ahmad bin Dawud Makki, who said, Muslim bin Ibrahim narrated to us, who said, Mubarak bin Fadala narrated to us, from Abu Ghalib, from Abu Umama, and he related it. Abu Ghalib, the companion of Abu Umama, is a disputed narrator. Nasai, Abu Hatim, and Ibn Hibban declared him daif, while Daraqutni deemed him reliable. His hadith is graded hasan when supported by corroborating narrations and witnesses, and indeed it has been corroborated.It was reported by Imam Ahmad (22215) and Ajurri in al-Sharia (817), both from the hadith of Hurayz bin Uthman, from Abdul-Rahman bin Maysara, from Abu Umama, who said, I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "A man who is not a prophet will surely enter people into Paradise through his intercession, as many as two whole tribes, or as many as one of the two tribes, Rabia and Mudar." A man then said, "Messenger of Allah, is Rabia not part of Mudar?" He said, "I only say what I say."
