The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Allah will bring out a group of people, foul-smelling and scorched by the Fire, through the intercession of the intercessors. He will admit them into Paradise, and they will be called the Jahannamites."
أن رسول الله ﷺ قال: يخرج الله قوما منتنين قد محشتهم النار بشفاعة الشافعين، فيدخلهم الجنة، فيسمون الجهنميون.
Imam Ahmad narrated it (23423), as did Abu Dawud Tayalisi in his Musnad (420), and from his route Ibn Khuzayma (545), and Ajurri in Shariah (805), all of them through the route of Shubah, from Hammad, from Rubai bin Harrash, from Huzaifa, and he mentioned it. Its chain is hasan because of Hammad, who is Ibn Abu Sulayman, for he is hasan al-hadith.A note of caution, an omission occurred in the Musnad of Abu Dawud Tayalisi in the old Maarif edition. The chain mentioned there was, "Abu Awana narrated to us, from Abu Malik, from Rubai bin Harrash, from Huzaifa," for another text that had dropped out of it, namely, "Every good deed is charity." Muslim (1005) also narrated this same text through the route of Abu Awana, with his chain.As for the text of this hadith, its chain is as we have mentioned, and it was with this chain that Ibn Khuzayma and Ajurri extracted it. So Abu Malik Ashjai cannot be considered a corroborating narrator for Hammad bin Abu Sulayman, because this hadith revolves around Hammad bin Abu Sulayman. From him it was narrated by Shubah, as already mentioned, and by Muhammad bin Jafar as found in Imam Ahmad (23423) and Ibn Khuzayma (542), and by Hammad bin Salama, and by Hisham Dastawai as found in Ibn Abu Asim's Sunnah (835, 836), all of them from Hammad bin Abu Sulayman, with his chain, in similar fashion.Doctor Muhammad bin Abdul-Muhsin Turki drew attention to this omission in the text mentioned above, in his verification of the Musnad of Abu Dawud Tayalisi, so may Allah reward him well.
