Maymuna bint Harith told me that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ married her while he was not in the state of ihram. He said, "She was my maternal aunt and the maternal aunt of Ibn Abbas."
حدثتني ميمونة بنت الحارث أن رسول الله ﷺ تزوجها وهو حلال، قال: وكانت خالتي وخالة ابن عباس.
Muslim narrated it in the Book of Marriage (1411), from Abu Bakr bin Abu Shayba, who said, Yahya bin Adam narrated to us, who said, Jareer bin Hazim narrated to us, who said, Abu Fizara narrated to us, from Yazid bin Asam, and he mentioned it.The Messenger of Allah ﷺ married her in Dhul-Qaidah of the seventh year, when he performed the compensatory Umrah. Ibn Saad said, She was the last woman he married, meaning of those with whom he consummated the marriage. Maymuna died at Sarif in the year fifty-one according to the sahih view, and she was buried in the place of the tent that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ had set up for her there.See Isaba (11919).
