The Prophet ﷺ said, "On the Day of Resurrection, people will be made to cross the Sirat, and the two sides of the Sirat will hurl them into the Fire the way moths plunge into a flame. Allah will save by His mercy whomever He wills. Then permission will be granted to the angels, the prophets, and the martyrs to intercede, so they will intercede and bring people out, and they will intercede and bring people out, and they will intercede and bring people out."Affan added one more time, saying also, "And they will intercede and bring out everyone in whose heart there is the weight of an atom of faith."
عن النبي ﷺ قال: يحمل الناس على الصراط يوم القيامة، فتقادع بهم جنبتا الصراط تقادع الفراش في النار. قال: فينجي الله برحمته من يشاء. قال: ثم يؤذن للملائكة والنبيين والشهداء أن يشفعوا فيشفعون ويخرجون، ويشفعون ويخرجون، ويشفعون ويخرجون، وزاد عفان: مرة فقال أيضا ويشفعون ويخرجون من كان في قلبه ما يزن ذرة من إيمان.
Imam Ahmad (20440), Bazzar in Bahr Zakhkhar (3671), Tabarani in Saghir (929), and Ibn Abu Asim in Sunnah (838) all narrated it from the hadith of Affan bin Muslim, who said, "Saeed bin Zayd narrated to us," who said, "I heard Abu Sulayman Asri," who said, "Uqba bin Sahban narrated to us, from Abu Bakra, from the Prophet ﷺ," and he related it.Its chain of transmission is hasan because of Saeed bin Zayd, who is the brother of Hammad bin Zayd, for his hadith is hasan. Abu Sulayman Asri was deemed reliable by Ibn Main, as Ibn Abu Hatim relates in Jarh wa Tadil (9/380), and Dulabi named him in Kuna (1/195) as Kaab bin Shabib. The hadith was also related through another route from Saeed bin Zayd, with his chain of transmission, in similar wording.Bazzar said, "We do not know of anyone who narrated it in this wording except Abu Bakra, and its narrators are satisfactory." Haythami also judged its narrators sahih in Majma (10/359).
