Saad bin Abu Waqqas said during the illness from which he died, "Dig a side niche grave for me, and set up the bricks against me upright, just as was done for the Messenger of Allah ﷺ."
أن سعد بن أبي وقاص قال في مرضه الذي هلك فيه: الحدوا لي لحدا، وانصبوا علي اللبن نضبا، كما صنع برسول الله ﷺ.
Muslim narrated it in the Book of Funerals (966) from Yahya bin Yahya, who said, Abdullah bin Jafar Makhzumi narrated to us, from Ismail bin Muhammad bin Saad, from Amir bin Saad bin Abu Waqqas, and he mentioned it.
