I asked him, "When did you migrate?"He replied, "We left Yemen as emigrants and arrived at al-Juhfah. A rider approached, and I asked him, 'What is the news?'He said, 'We buried the Prophet ﷺ five days ago.'"I asked, "Did you hear anything about Laylat al-Qadr?"He said, "Yes. Bilal, the muezzin of the Prophet ﷺ, told me that it falls on the seventh night of the last ten."
أبو الخير أجرى حديثا مع الصنابحي وروى ما قاله.
قلت له متى هاجرت؟ قال: خرجنا من اليمن مهاجرين، فقدمنا الجحفة، فأقبل راكب، فقلت له: الخبر؟ فقال: دفنا النبي ﷺ له منذ خمس قلت: هل سمعت في ليلة القدر شيئا. قال: نعم، أخبرني بلال مؤذن النبي ﷺ أنه في السبع في العشر الأواخر.
Bukhari narrated it in the chapters on military expeditions (4470), from Asbagh, who said, Ibn Wahb informed me, who said, Amr informed me, from Ibn Abu Habib (that is, Yazid), from Abu Khayr, who said, and he mentioned it.
