Ayesha reported,

Aisha said, "Among the blessings Allah bestowed upon me is that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ passed away in my house, on my day, and between my chest and throat, and that Allah united my saliva with his at the moment of his death.Abdul-Rahman entered with a tooth-stick in his hand while I was supporting the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. I saw him looking at it, and I knew he loved the tooth-stick, so I asked, 'Shall I take it for you?'He nodded yes, so I took it, but it was too hard for him.I said, 'Shall I soften it for you?'He nodded yes, so I softened it and handed it to him. Before him was a small vessel, or perhaps a bowl (Umar was uncertain), containing water. He began dipping his hands into the water and wiping his face with them, saying, 'There is no god but Allah. Indeed, death has its agonies.'Then he raised his hand and kept saying, 'With the highest companions,' until his soul was taken and his hand fell."

Sahih
