Abu Saeed Khudri reported,

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ came out to us during the illness in which he died, while we were in the mosque, with his head wrapped in a cloth. He made his way toward the pulpit and settled upon it, and we followed him.He said, "By the One in whose hand my soul rests, I can see the Pond from this very place where I stand."Then he said, "A servant has been offered the world and its adornments, and he has chosen the Hereafter."No one understood what he meant except Abu Bakr, whose eyes filled with tears and he wept. Then he said, "Rather, may we ransom you with our fathers, our mothers, ourselves, and our wealth, Messenger of Allah."Then he descended from the pulpit, and never stood upon it again until this hour.
