The Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent me to Yemen, so I said, "Messenger of Allah, you are sending me to people who are older than I am to judge between them."He said, "Go, for Allah Almighty will make your tongue firm and guide your heart."
Ahmad (661) narrated it from Yahya bin Adam, who said, Israil narrated to us, from Abu Ishaq, from Haritha bin Mudarrib, from Ali, and he related it. Its isnad is sahih.Ibn Majah (2309) and Ahmad (636) and others also narrated it through the route of Amash, from Amr bin Mura, from Abu Bakhtari, from Ali, who said, and he related something similar. He added Ali's statement, "I never doubted again in judging between two disputants."However, Abu Bakhtari, who is Saeed bin Fayruz, did not hear directly from Ali. This is indicated by what Shuba narrated, from Amr bin Mura, who said, I heard Abu Bakhtari Tai say, someone who heard Ali told me, and he related something similar. Ahmad (1145) narrated this. The hadith has other chains of transmission that have already been mentioned.
