The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "There are two types of men whom my intercession will not reach: a tyrannical, oppressive ruler, and one who is extreme in religion, going beyond its bounds and breaking away from it."
قال رسول الله ﷺ: رجلان لا تنالهما شفاعتي: إمام ظلوم غشوم، وآخر غال في الدين مارق منه.

Tabarani narrated it in Kabir (20/214), and Ibn Abu Asim in Sunnah (41), both from the hadith of Ibn Mubarak, who said, Manba informed me, Muawiya bin Qurra narrated to me, from Maqil bin Yasar, and he mentioned it. Its isnad is hasan because of Manba. Ibn Abu Hatim mentioned him in Jarh wa Tadil, but he neither criticized nor endorsed him. Ibn Adi gave his biography in Kamil (6/2456). He is Manba bin Abdul-Rahman, Abu Abdullah al-Basri. He cited one hadith from him and said, "This Manba narrates from Saeed bin Abu Aruba and from others hadiths that are hasan, and in his hadith there are some unique reports, and I hope there is no harm in him."Hafiz quoted this from him in Lisan (6/103), but there it was corrupted to "Munir." Haythami said in Majma (5/235-236), "Tabarani narrated it with two isnads. In one of them is Manba. Ibn Adi said, He has unique reports, and I hope there is no harm in him. The rest of the narrators of the first isnad are trustworthy."The second isnad that Haythami referred to is what Tabarani related in Kabir (20/124) as well, through the route of Aghlab bin Tamim, from Mualla bin Ziyad, from Muawiya bin Qurra, from Maqil bin Yasar, who said, The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Two types among my nation will not attain my intercession, a tyrannical oppressive ruler, and one who goes to extremes in religion. I bear witness against them and disavow them."Its isnad is very daif because of Aghlab bin Tamim. Bukhari said of him, "His hadith is munkar." Ibn Main said, "He is nothing." Ibn Hibban said, "Yazid bin Harun narrated from him. He has gone beyond the limit of being cited as evidence due to the frequency of his errors." See his biography in Mizan (1/273).As for what is reported from Anas as a raised hadith, "Two types among my nation will not attain my intercession, the Murjiah and the Qadariyah." It was said, O Messenger of Allah, who are the Qadariyah? He said, "A people who say, There is no predestination." It was said, Then who are the Murjiah? He said, "A people who will appear at the end of time. When asked about faith, they say, We are believers, if Allah wills."This is fabricated. Ibn Jawzi related it in Mawduat (282), and Juzqani in Abatil (34), and he said, "This is a baseless hadith, and its isnad contains darknesses."
